Once the basics of TPD and direction of winding have been covered you can start to have fun finding the perfect winder for your watch. We all like different things and as you were faced with many options when choosing your watch there are similarly many options when it comes to choosing your watch winder.
Here are a few suggestions of how your watch can be complemented by its winder:
Several Omega watches have either Blue or Orange bezels – Try matching these to outer case colour of your winder.
A Planet Ocean with an Orange strap – How about a Swiss Kubik Masterbox in orange?
An Aqua Terra with a black strap – How about a Rapport Evo Cube in Black or Platinum Silver?
A Brief History of Omega
Omega SA is, without doubt, one of the giants of the watchmaking world, based in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. Louis Brandt founded Omega back in 1848 as the La Generale Watch Co. In 1982 the company changed its name to Omega SA as it is known today.
Omega SA is a subsidiary of the Swatch Group.
Omega’s fine heritage in watchmaking can be traced back to some quite special moments in the history of watchmaking.
Many famous faces love to wear an Omega watch but probably none better know than 007 himself, James Bond! Omega has enjoyed a very close relationship with 007 since 1995 when Pierce Brosnan wore a Seamaster Professional in the film GoldenEye. Bond has worn Omega watches in many films since including Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Spectre.
Other famous wearers include George Clooney, Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, Elvis Presley, John F. Kennedy and Prince William to name but a few.
With such fine heritage, your Omega watch deserves a beautiful watch winder.
