Steel wire electroplating is a common and widely used steel wire electroplating process, and steel wire galvanizing is the most widely used process in steel wire electroplating. Especially in recent years, the growth in the application of special steel wires has made great progress in the galvanizing process of steel wires. The application of wire electroplating related to electronic electroplating is mainly the copper plating process of steel wires. Due to the fact that the bottom of this type of wire is made of steel wire and the outer layer is made of copper, it is also known as "copper wire".

With the rapid development of the national economy, the demand for various types of copper plated wire rods is increasing both domestically and internationally. Taking carbon dioxide gas shielded welding wire as an example. As early as the 1980s, the production of gas shielded welding wires in industrialized countries such as the United States, Germany, and Japan accounted for over 40% of the total welding material production, and in recent years, it has exceeded 70%. During the "Eighth Five Year Plan" period, China listed gas shielded welding wires as a key promotion project, with an annual output increase of 10000 tons. As for the copper plated iron wire telephone line used for telephone connections, it has been widely used abroad and is also flourishing in China.

With the development of China's communication industry, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued a document requiring the cessation of the use of galvanized iron wire telephone lines and the use of popular grounding rod telephone lines abroad, so that the continuous electroplating process of grounding rod wires will prosper in the near future. The continuous electroplating process for grounding rods and grounding wires requires the copper coating to reach the specified thickness, especially for fast and high deposition rate continuous electroplating processes and equipment. At present, the acidic copper plating process in China generally has the disadvantages of small temperature range and insufficient current density range. At the same time, there are many foam in the circulation of plating solution, which cannot meet the market demand.
