5 Experience and skills for large CNC  lathe processing

Many unpredictable problems will occur during the processing of large T-rex grinding machine lathes. Therefore, in addition to knowing the 4 common classifications of CNC lathe processing and the five factors to improve the efficiency of CNC lathe processing, operators of large CNC lathe processing must also understand the experience and skills of large CNC lathe processing, so as to reduce the time to deal with problems during large CNC lathe processing. So what are the experience and skills for large CNC lathe processing?

1. Programming skills for large T-rex grinding machine lathe processing

1. Processing order of parts:

(1) Drill first and then flatten the end (to prevent shrinkage during drilling).

(2) Rough turn first, then fine turn (to ensure part accuracy).

(3) Process large tolerances first and then small tolerances (to ensure that the surface of small tolerance dimensions is not scratched and to prevent part deformation).

2. Select reasonable speed, feed rate and cutting depth according to the hardness of the material:

(1) For carbon steel materials, choose high speed, high feed rate and large cutting depth.

(2) For carbide, choose low speed, low feed rate and small cutting depth.

(3) For titanium alloy, choose low speed, high feed rate and small cutting depth.

2. Direct tool setting techniques for large CNC lathe processing

Select the center of the right end face of the part as the tool setting point and set it as the zero point. After the machine tool returns to the origin, each tool that needs to be used is set with the center of the right end face of the part as the zero point; when the tool touches the right end face, enter Z0 and click Measure, the tool compensation value of the tool will automatically record the measured value, which means that the Z-axis tool setting has been completed. The X-axis tool setting is a trial cutting tool setting. Use the tool to turn the outer circle of the part less, measure the outer circle value (such as x is 20mm), enter x20, click Measure, and the tool compensation value will automatically record the measured value. At this time, the x-axis is also set; this tool setting method, even if the machine tool is powered off, will not change the tool setting value after the power is turned on and restarted. It is suitable for large-scale long-term production of the same part. During the period, the largeT-rex grinding machine lathe is turned off and there is no need to re-set the tool.

3. Debugging skills for large CNC lathe processing

After programming and tool setting adjustment for large CNC lathe processing is completed, in order to prevent errors in the program and tool setting errors, causing collision accidents, we will first perform empty stroke simulation processing to debug the lathe, and move the tool to the right as a whole in the coordinate system of the lathe by 2-3 times the total length of the part; then start simulation processing, and after the simulation processing is completed, confirm that the program and tool setting are correct, and then start processing the part. After the first part is processed, self-check first, and after confirmation, it means that the debugging is over.

4. Processing skills for large CNC lathe processing

1. Rough processing first, remove the excess material of the workpiece, and then fine processing.

2. Avoid vibration during processing.

3. Avoid thermal denaturation during workpiece processing.

5. Anti-collision skills for large CNC lathe processing

1. Confirm that the diameter and length of the tool are entered correctly.

2. Confirm that the size of the workpiece and other related geometric dimensions are entered correctly.

3. Confirm that the initial position of the workpiece is correctly positioned.

4. Confirm that the workpiece coordinate system of the CNC lathe is set correctly.

5. Confirm that the zero point of the CNC lathe has not been reset during the processing.

6. Confirm that the retraction action sequence of the CNC axis is correct.

The above 5 are the experience and skills of large-scale CNC lathe processing. It should be a little helpful for those engaged in large-scale CNC lathe processing. These processing skills are just some basic points. You need to learn from them and give full play to your imagination and hands-on ability to improve your own experience and skills of large-scale CNC lathe processing.
